E.I.T International Office/Hetley Building
The International Office is situated on the third floor of E.I.T’s Hetley Building, and is run by helpful staff all experienced in dealing with people from other countries. This is the liaison centre for all International students, including permanent residents, migrants, and refugees, whether the students are studying English or are doing mainstream E.I.T. courses. Staff help with immigration and course information, enrolments, payment of fees, accommodation needs, translation services, medical and spiritual support, health issues, orientation of new students, and organize regular social events for all International students.
The English Language Centre provides small class tuition in a variety of programmes ranging from 4 weeks – 12 months or more. Students can enter at any time of the year, and study can be full-time or part-time. Teachers are highly-trained, with specialist qualifications in English Language teaching. Morning lessons concentrate on preparation for future academic studies, and afternoon lessons focus on the communication skills of speaking and listening. Students have free access to the Twist Library, to several computer suites, and to a Language Laboratory.
